- Reviewed in the United States on September 6, 2024Size: 13" x 17"Verified PurchaseI have had an AcuStrike brand felt mat since 2019 and it has helped my golf more than any other golf gizmo I have tried, hands down. It is a superb training tool.
I was looking for a second unit and first opted to try one of the mats with the “flipping sequins” technology instead of the felt. Bad choice on my part. With the sequins you must strike quite hard and the patterns don’t always reflect accurately what the sole of the club is doing at and after impact w ball.
So I then tried this mat. Three mats for really great price. Could it be comparable to the AcuStrike? Short answer is emphatic yes
The nap on the AcuStrike is more luxurious, meaning the fibers are finer in diameter and the fiber count is higher per unit area. It is more plush, like a Korean “mink” fleece blanket, while this felt is tighter, more like pool table felt but a tad longer. In practice this means that you can see the strike pattern a bit more vividly w the AcuStrike. That said, I cannot find anything missing or inaccurate with this mat in a head to head comparison, either with range balls or with the Callaway foam balls.
I can’t tell how long this mat will last, but indications are that its shorter stiffer nap will translate to good longevity. Plus, I have 3 of these mats for less than half the price of the AcuStrike
I also like the heavy rubber base/frame of this mat. It does not alter ball height to any significant degree. The AcuStrike has a slick bottom that allows it to slide around unless it is tacked at corners w golf tees. Not practical indoors

- Reviewed in the United States on July 3, 2024Size: 13" x 17"Verified PurchaseI have been looking at something like this for years. I have heard mixed reviews, and never really felt the need to try this.
I gave up going to the range in the heat and figured this would be good for some super slo-mo swinging.
I got Champkey for a few reasons, I use their grips, I have some headcovers by them too. They seem to make the best value products. I wasn’t spending $100+ dollar for a divot board somewhere with mixed reviews. This one has 2 replacement pads that go with it. I had a gift card and then saw a coupon, I figure why not.
My big miss is pounding dirt behind the ball, you can see I did that on a shot here.
I got a surprise, I have some foam balls already and decided to try and hit one inside. 90+ degrees outside. It was great! I did a few more, added my voice caddie launch monitor. Not a bad indoor set up. The pad showing is after about 75 hits.
The pro’s on the board:
Under $20
Comes with 2 additional pads
Easy to see if you have the mat the right direction. A simple swipe front to back with your foot, hand, or the club “Resets” the felt.
It works indoors with foam balls
It’s portably but large enough, 13x 18 I think.
Includes a small chart to tell you what the strikes mean to your swing.
Helps you with instant feedback on your swing.
No cons as of yet, for $20-$25 without the coupon, just get it.

- Reviewed in the United States on January 22, 2025Size: 13" x 17"Verified PurchaseI think this type of training aid is the most important one to have & use regularly, especially if you live in a colder climate and have to stop swinging for a few months at a time. Most swing issues can be masked until you have a strike mat to showcase divot position and direction, and this does an exceptional job of identifying those traits to assist in correction. More importantly, the durability seems to be at or above expectation - I've used the pre-installed strike mat only (you get 3 total, one installed and 2 replacements) and though there is some seam splitting at the edges, the mat works great still and I believe i'm close to 1,000 swings in. Ultimately, as with everything in life, the longevity is contained to how well you use the product. If you regularly rotate the mat to hit in the opposite direction and aren't an absolute steepsman divotsmen, then I would strongly believe the strike mats will last multiple thousand swings at least.

- Reviewed in the United States on July 22, 2024First, I’m a bogey golfer who’s always looking for a way to improve my game. As with many bogey golfers I’ve struggled keeping a consistent swing plane and find myself occasionally swinging ‘over the top’ or ‘outside in’. I thought this golf mat would help provide immediate feedback while on the range, or even in my backyard without hitting a golf ball.
First the good news. The construction is nice, and it does come with two spare pads. That’s important because these will wear out with constant usage (you will be beating it with a golf club). The nap of the mat is directional, and by that, I mean you’ll want to make sure you are hitting so that the black parallelograms are towards your back feet. If you don’t then you’ll have a harder time seeing where your club hits and exits the mat surface. There are instructions about how to read the marks, but what I’ve learned from my lessons, the instructions may be over-simplified trying to explain what to change.
Now for the design flaw. The mat sits on top of the grass, and therefore the ball on top of the mat is actually above your feet. The 4th photo tries to show how much higher the ball on the mat sits compared to where it would be if it were on the grass. The problem is you will be standing on the grass, and therefore when you swing, whether it’s to hit a ball or just the mat surface, the contact spot will be higher than when you play a normal ball. That is significant because even on perfectly hit balls that are on the ground, the mat will show that you are hitting behind the ball. Hopefully that makes sense. What you really need is for the mat surface to be large enough so that you are standing on the mat, just like you would at driving ranges where you hit off mats.
For that reason, I only give this a 2-star rating. I reserve 1-stars for really bad products and this is not that, it just has a major flaw that I don’t feel is acceptable for helping my golf game.
